Chart-Track, the English equivalent of American NPD, has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has just become the best selling game of all time in the UK: the game by Infinity Ward achieved this record in just 10 months from the stores, while the previous holder of the title, Brain Age for Nintendo DS, had taken 36 months to overcome the sales of GTA: San Andreas.
Another interesting fact is that, in these 10 months, the title of Activision has always placed in the top 10 best-selling games in the UK with the exception of three weeks. We have no data on other European countries, but is not likely to deviate much from the English results, given the incredible success of the game globally.
